The Hennessey House Tour Our old 1860's Farm House, hand crafted with the textures of another era, and the full amenities of resort living, This is Rob Pike's second home and has five bedrooms, three with private bathrooms, a fireplace, a pool-table sports area, a view over the ravine behind, and a great yard for the whole family to relax in, all one minute from everything you want to experience. It's on the foothill of Okemo Mountain - our closest to the slopes!
Living Room and Pool Table Area Rob's second home has a very high comfort level, the Living Room Couch is really comfortable. There is a warm fireplace right in the middle of the view over the Ravine out back. Hit a switch on the right of the fireplace enclosure and you are basking in the radiated heat, centered right in the unexpected intra-village view down Rob's Ravine.
The view from the Pool Table area to the living room Baywall and fireplace. It's a completely rebuilt old "Four Square" house from the 1860's with real charm.
The entertainment and sound system is also here, featuring a powerful AM/FM stereo receiver, a CD/DVD Player that can handle MP3's. All is integrated with the television. You will be provided with at least five DVD's of great hits to play, without having to hit the rental shop. On either side of the fireplace are deep window seats with two futons which can be used for sleeping if the bedrooms get a bit crowded. There are also two futon couches in the living room and sports bar areas which can be converted into full size beds. The sheets and extra quilts and pillows for these futons are located in storage chest located against the wall in the sports bar. The new Couch in front of the fireplace is convertible too, though it is rare that people pack the house so much that they need it.
Oh, and check this out. . The Sports Area The pool table is a full size slate base beauty, with restored barnwood sides and a natural wood finish (like much of the house.) There are two additional TV's here so that you sports fans can be monitoring three shows at once. Oh and now there is a door way on the outside wall that leads to ... The Outdoor Hot Tub - the Optima.
This tub is quite simply our best, with GREAT jets, and foot massagers and a very efficient filtering system. It hangs over the Edge of Rob's Ravine, and well lets just say a fine time has been had here by all. The Kitchen
The Kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, oven, stove and refrigerator. There are several sets of dishes and cooking pots and pans.
Downstairs Bath On the far wall of the kitchen to the right there is a passageway to the first floor bathroom with a washer, dryer, toilet, sink, tub and shower. This services guests, and the folks who end up staying in the Living room. Dining Room Through the opening from the kitchen, you will arrive in a well-equipped dining room. The sideboard has china in it, and a pile of vacation brochures and suggestions on top.
We've had some darn good parties here, and as you can see one room flows right into the next. So even if the party "always ends up in the Kitchen," there is a natural flow of friends and family into the rest of the house.
Second Floor Going up the staircase, there’s a small landing which splits so you can travel either to the left or to the right. To the right are two bedrooms (beds with futon mattresses).
This one has an attached bath with a shower, sink and toilet, and a
vanity sink in the bedroom (Master 1).
The other bedroom has a vanity sink in the room and a closet for storage. If you turn to the left at the landing, there is a half bath directly ahead with a toilet and sink; and a bunk bedroom to the right. The Third bedroom on the second floor is the Bunk Room. It has two sets of bunks.
To the left is a passageway, going towards the third floor, which contains the newest facility of the Hennessey House. The Hot Tub Room is now the XBox Room
That's right, toss those little noisemakers in this hermitically sealed room, with an XBox, and the new Halo 2, Madden NFL 2005, and Tony Hawks Skateboard adventures.. Third Floor If you continue up to the right out of the hot tub, you will ascend a renovated old staircase to two more bedrooms. At the top of the staircase, there is a master bedroom on your left with an in-room vanity. A toilet and a shower are in a small private side room (Master 2). To the right is another master bedroom, featuring a full sized bed, a futon couch (which converts into a full sized bed) and a bathroom with a whirlpool bath, a vanity and a toilet (Master 3).

The Train Tracks The Hennessy House is in the Village of Ludlow, and was placed here, along with the Flag Barn, around 1860, to take advantage of the hills above (which have a flat pasture just up the hill) and the railroad tracks that run by the property. Be advised that these days the train goes by twice a day on average, once around 10 am (to wake up you late sleepers,) and the other time around 4-5 pm in the early evening. It's fun to watch from the living room, and entirely harmless (unless of course, you have tied somebody to the tracks.) The Owner’s Office/Crash Pad
There’s a completely separate part of the Hennessy House which was on the right as you entered the kitchen. While you are staying here, the owner's office is physically and acoustically isolated from the main building, and has a separate entrance. This area is unavailable to you, and is used by the owner as his office/crash pad.
He also has a few guitars and a computer based recording studio here. So, he can occasionally be enticed to play a tune, and sing some old songs he picked up along this good trek known as life. Rates for Short Term Rentals - Click Here.

That is your full downpayment Click the PayPal logo below, complete and submit the PayPal payment form to hold your reservation dates. You should then email us at robpike@verizon.net to notify us of your payment, with house name and date of rental. We will acknowledge the date hold, and after we receive the entire downpayment we then confirm your reservation, and provide the schedule and preferred method for payment of the rest of the rental fees.
